Relaxation

Relaxation is when the body and mind are free from tension and anxiety, relaxation technique helps a person to relax, to attain a state of increased calmness; or otherwise reduce levels of pain, anxiety, stress or anger.

  1. Instant Relaxation technique (IRT) :Instant relaxation technique (IRT) is an immediate way of bring the body and mind to relax. It is done in savasana (corpse pose). This technique takes roughly about 2 minutes.

                       Benefits: slows heart rate, lowers blood pressure, slows breathing rate, reduces stress, and reduces muscle tension.

  1. Quick Relaxation technique (QRT) :  technique where the entire physical body is relaxed while focusing the breathing. The flow of breath into the body and out of the body through the nostrils is given importance here. This technique roughly takes 3-5 minutes.

                      Benefits: positive flow of energy with awareness, stress, anxiety.

  1. Deep Relaxation technique (DRT):  DRT is a deeper and more intense form of relaxation. The entire body and the mind move together, connecting with each other while breathing plays a crucial role to bring this connection. This technique takes about 20-30 minutes.

                       Benefits: positive flow of energy, anxiety, stress, cardiovascular benefits.
